No matter how you see it, Milford Sound is an amazing place. Carved out of the rock by glaciers and flooded by the sea, Milford Sound is stunning. We had the good fortune of visiting Milford Sound during our trip to Australia and New Zealand. The only way you can truly see the sound is on board a ship and lucky for us we were on a cruise. More than half the ships that plan to sail the sound end up having to cancel due to weather.
Unlike Milford Sound, Doubtful sound connects to Thompson Sound providing the opportunity to sail through both sounds in a large arch. We sailed into Thompson Sound then turned into Doubtful Sound thus entering and exiting through different fjords. Any way you slice it, it is a wonderful journey that is not to be missed. Sailing is just about the only way to see this stunning part of the world.
Dunedin, located on the South Island of New Zealand is a fascinating city and has so much to offer! Dunedin is a beautiful city has a very strong Scottish influence and heritage. There are some fun and fascinating things to see in the city itself.
It’s May! Spring is here and everything is blossoming around us! What a wonderful time of year. We have been hard at work whether here in the office or out and about exploring and learning new things! It is amazing how quickly time flies. We hope your spring has been exciting and that your summer plans are well underway.
It is officially spring and the warmer, sunnier days are just around the corner. Can you feel it? We can! We have been enjoying the longer days and those extra minutes of sunshine each day really gives the feeling that winter is on its way out. We can’t say that winter will be missed but we do enjoy the change of seasons. We hope this email finds you healthy, happy and enjoying the beginnings of spring!

In case you hadn’t heard, travel to Cuba has taken a rather dramatic and sudden turn. In the past couple of weeks, the United States Government has changed its policy on travel to Cuba.
Sometimes you just have to let the nerd in you out to play. When making plans for a recent cruise around New Zealand, I was torn between seeing geological stuff, glow worm caves or Hobbiton at one of our ports of call. When talking with another travel agent, she just smiled and advised me to go see Hobbiton. She was so right! Let me tell you why you need to go and spend some time at Hobbiton.
