I seriously doubt that Yarmouth will ever be on anyone's bucket list, but it is a wonderful discovery none the less. We recently had the opportunity to spend the day exploring Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was a real treat and did not disappoint.
Prince Edward Island is more affectionately known by those who live there as PEI. This beautiful maritime providence of Canada is a spectacular island community with much to offer those who visit. Its main community named Charlottetown is situated in a beautiful bay, one of the many bays and coves that make up PEI. I love the beauty and history that surrounds this beautiful community and island.

I had never heard of it either until we went on a recent expedition style cruise to the Gulf of St. Lawrence region in Canada with Hurtigruten Cruise Line. What a wonderful discovery this area turned out to be. If you are a bird watcher you probably already know about this wonderful migratory bird sanctuary.
What? You haven’t heard of Havre-Saint-Pierre? Don’t feel bad. I hadn’t either until it was on the itinerary of an expedition cruise we were taking. It is always exciting to get a new itinerary and start researching the ports of call and what adventures are waiting to be had at each one. Finding new places is part of the fun of traveling.
Located in Newfoundland, Canada, this area is a world heritage sites because of its unique geology. That is not the only reason to visit Bonne Bay.
I had never heard of these islands until it appeared on an itinerary for an expedition cruise I was taking. These islands kind of look like a giant sandbar but they are ruggedly beautiful and charming. Les Isle-de-la-Madeleine or the Madeline Islands are located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and are part of the province of Quebec, Canada.
The last stop of our most recent adventure was in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We had been on an expeditionary cruise exploring some pretty and remote areas in and around the Gulf of St. Lawrence. If you are a history buff you really need to go see Halifax and immerse yourself in its history and charm.
