Coronavirus Update - March

The World Health Organization has declared the virus a pandemic. We are also aware of the travel ban President Trump recently announced suspending all travel from Europe to the U.S. in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We understand the need for and support the precautions being taken worldwide. We wanted to clarify some statements as there has been some confusion.

Acajutla, El Salvador

It's not every day that you get to visit places like Acajutla, El Salvador. The place is trying to put itself on the tourism map. They try hard but still have a little work to do. That is not to say that it is not worth visiting. If you are used to typical tourist locations this one will feel a little rough around the edges. We liked it anyway. Here are a few of our favorite photos from Acajutla.

Exploring from New York

Departing out of New York is quite spectacular. We have taken the Staten Island Ferry before, but somehow, setting of on an adventure from New York has a different feel. The skyline, which seems to be constantly changing is stunning, and sailing past some of the historical sites, like Ellis Island, can be breathtaking. One of the most awe inspiring moments was cruising past the Statue Of Liberty. It was a cold and rainy day when we departed but it didn't dampen the enjoyment of the moment. There is just something magical about setting off on an adventure from the city that never sleeps. The possibilities seem endless and the world seems to be laying open at your feet.

Havre-Saint-Pierre, Quebec, Canada Our Experience with Pictures

This beautiful and remote town is surrounded by a an archipelago of islands that have some of the most interesting limestone formations. Worn down by centuries of wind and water these rock formations are stunning and hold some incredible fossils within them. Kutna Hora - Europe Trip and Pictures

While in Prague, we made a side trip to a smaller city called Kutna Hora. Besides the beautiful Cathedral, Kutna Hora has a Bone Ossuary. At first it was a little bit creepy but once you learn the story it becomes a little less so. The Cathedral has an interesting story as well. It was orignally designed to be much larger; however, finances and time became such an issue that the town opted to make the Cathedral smaller. Still impressive. Here are a few of our favorite photos from Kutna Hora.

La Paz, Mexico Panama Canal Cruise Review and Pictures

Fortune smiled on us and we had the chance to visit La Paz, Mexico. This community on the Baja peninsual is not as well known as its much more popular Cabo San Lucas neighbor. Still has the great water and weather as Cabo but not as many tourist. By far the most exciting activity to do here is to swim with the whale sharks. The town has spent a lot of time and money to beautify its beach front. You can have a good time in La Paz just walking the beach and shopping. Here are a few of our favorite photos from our visit to La Paz.

Les-Iles-de-la-Madeleine (Madeleine Islands) Pictures

This set of islands are almost sand bars. This geological quirk makes them rugged and stunningly beautiful. Again this is a French speaking location but the inhabitants were extremely nice and welcoming. This fishing community also has some of the best cheese around! One of the best ways to see this area is on a bike. They do bicycle tours or you could rent a moped. Either way, you need to climb to the top of the knoll that is right by the harbor. From there you can get some pretty spectacular views.

Things To Do and Reviews for Linz, Austria

When booking a trip to Linz, Austria, our travel agency recommends riding bikes along the Danube River. We arrived by River Cruise and wanted to stretch our legs and use the bicycles available on board our ship. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Linz has a bike path that runs along the Danube River and if you are an avid cyclist, the bike path leads all the way through the Wachau Valley to Kreme!
