No trip to Ireland would be complete without a visit to Blarney Castle. Whether you kiss the stone or not is ultimately up to you, but be warned, it is not an easy feat. More on that later. Blarney Castle has a long history and the story of the Blarney Stone and the tradition of kissing it is quite entertaining.

During a recent trip to Australia, I had the distinct pleasure of taking a day trip into the Blue Mountains and I am so glad that I did. I went not really knowing what to expect. Spending the day in the Blue Mountains was well worth the time and here is why.
There are a handful of places that have captured my heart immediately upon arrival and Malta is one of them. Reading about a place and visiting it are two completely different things. We arrived by cruise ship and the entrance to Malta is stunning. That is not quite what the builders had in mind, they were thinking protection but the effect is breathtaking.

The glorious city is so full of history, charm, and crazy drivers that it should be a mortal sin to not visit Rome at least once in your lifetime.
Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance and as such has so much to offer. If that is not enough to draw you to Florence, then the fact that is the center of Tuscany should be the icing on the cake for you.
Como and its namesake lake are truly remarkable and a delight to behold. We traveled to this region during the early autumn and found it stunning. We stayed at a delightful boutique hotel that was only a couple of blocks from the lake and was just steps away from the magical old town section.
