Acajutla, El Salvador

It's not every day that you get to visit places like Acajutla, El Salvador. The place is trying to put itself on the tourism map. They try hard but still have a little work to do. Exploring from New York

Departing out of New York is quite spectacular. We have taken the Staten Island Ferry before, but somehow, setting of on an adventure from New York has a different feel. The skyline, which seems to be constantly changing is stunning, and sailing past some of the historical sites, like Ellis Island, can be breathtaking. One of the most awe inspiring moments was cruising past the Statue Of Liberty. It was a cold and rainy day when we departed but it didn't dampen the enjoyment of the moment. There is just something magical about setting off on an adventure from the city that never sleeps. The possibilities seem endless and the world seems to be laying open at your feet.

At first it was a little bit creepy but once you learn the story it becomes a little less so. The Cathedral has an interesting story as well. It was orignally designed to be much larger; however, finances and time became such an issue that the town opted to make the Cathedral smaller. Still impressive. Here are a few of our favorite photos from Kutna Hora.

La Paz, Mexico Panama Canal Cruise Review and Pictures

Fortune smiled on us and we had the chance to visit La Paz, Mexico. This community on the Baja peninsual is not as well known as its much more popular Cabo San Lucas neighbor. Still has the great water and weather as Cabo but not as many tourist. By far the most exciting activity to do here is to swim with the whale sharks. The town has spent a lot of time and money to beautify its beach front. You can have a good time in La Paz just walking the beach and shopping. Here are a few of our favorite photos from our visit to La Paz.
