Besides being a part of the United Kingdom, Belfast is also a part of Ireland and its incredible history. To miss out on Belfast is a bit of a shame but with all of the amazing things to see and do in the Republic of Ireland, it is understandable to not have the time to spare for Belfast.
If you haven’t had time to visit Dublin yet, you really should put in on your shortlist of things to do. Besides being the largest city in the Republic of Ireland, it is a beautiful city with a pretty interesting history.
No trip to Ireland would be complete without a visit to Blarney Castle. Whether you kiss the stone or not is ultimately up to you, but be warned, it is not an easy feat. More on that later. Blarney Castle has a long history and the story of the Blarney Stone and the tradition of kissing it is quite entertaining.
