Travel News - May 24, 2017
Published Wednesday, May 24th 2017How is it possible that May is almost over? This year has been such a wild surprise, from the crazy ridiculous winter to the flooding of the Boise River it seems like the months are just flying by and bringing new adventures at each turn. We are proud to be from such a diverse and wonderful area! Our business continues to grow and we have no one but you to thank for it! So here are just a few of the things happening in our world.
What’s New!: We just returned from a 17 day cruise through the Panama Canal! This was a bucket list trip and the final segment in a world cruise. We enjoyed fantastic stops in Aruba, Santa Marta, Columbia, complete transit through the Panama Canal, San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, Acajutla, El Salvador, and La Paz, Mexico. If you are interested in our adventures, check out our posts on Facebook, Instagram, and our blog posts! We are working hard to get the photos up on our website so that you can enjoy some of the beautiful sites.
Come With Us!: Is a trip to Europe on your bucket list? One of the fastest growing segments within the travel world is river cruises. This is a wonderful way to get a more all-inclusive vacation, see the countryside up close and personal, and be right in the heart of the city. We have groups space booked for 2018 on the beautiful Rhine River. If you are interested in learning more, let us know! We would love to help you learn more about this wonderful form of travel!
Did You Know!: Did you know that the Panama Canal just opened up new larger locks? They did. The best part is, the older and smaller locks are still open as well. While we were there, the Canal was breaking records for the tonnage of goods passing through the canal (and no, that did not count the amount of weight gained on the cruise!). If you are interested in learning more about the Panama Canal and how it came to be, you should read the book by David McCoullough, The Path Between the Seas. This book provides great information about the canal and how close it came to not being completed. If a Panama Canal Cruise is on your bucket list, we learned a lot of great tips we would love to share!
