What's In My Tote?
Published Monday, April 10th 2017I like to be prepared. But I also like to travel light. So what do I carry with me on vacation? It used to be when the children were younger, they each had their own backpack full of things to do and I had a backpack full of all the necessary items a mom needs. But these days, the children take care of themselves and I get to pack what I want. Here is my list of must have items for my vacation tote!
- Sturdy, light weight tote
- Small wallet with the necessary ID and a credit card (Passport if needed)
- Cell Phone
- Cell Phone Charger – and power packs in case I can’t charge (in a drawstring bag or Ziploc to keep organized and together)
- Sun Glasses and glass cleaners (in a case to keep organized)
- Lap Top or Tablet
- Reading Material (if I don’t currently have a book on my tablet)
- Head Phones (in a case or Ziploc bag to keep organized)
- Lip Balm, Lotion, Pain Relievers ( in a small drawstring bag or Ziploc to keep organized)
- Water Bottle (Take Empty for the airport and fill after security)
- Snacks
- Incidental Toiletries – those things you have to have with you
- Umbrella – small collapsible style
- Wet Wipes (small travel size)
- Spot Remover (I’m votes most likely to spill!)
- Small First Aid Kit
- Large scarf for around my neck or can double as a wrap for my shoulders
I always carry a jacket for times when it’s just a little chillier than I would like. And because I am a travel agent, I always carry business cards and paper and pens to take notes. You just never know when that phone is going to ring or you meet someone who needs your help!
