Fortune smiled on us and we had the chance to visit La Paz, Mexico.  This community on the Baja peninsual is not as well known as its much more popular Cabo San Lucas neighbor.  Still has the great water and weather as Cabo but not as many tourist.  By far the most exciting activity to do here is to swim with the whale sharks.  The town has spent a lot of time and money to beautify its beach front.  You can have a good time in La Paz just walking the beach and shopping.  Here are a few of our favorite photos from our visit to La Paz.

This fun and lively sign sits on the main beach in La Paz...in case you couldn't figure that out.

Swimming with the whale sharks is not dangerous but it is strenuous.  Even though they appear to be moving slowly, they are actually moving through the water at a fast pace.  Keeping up with them is difficult.  The water is usually in the 70's so a wet suit is advised.  Keep in mind, you cannot touch them!

Periodically along the beach the citizens of La Paz have placed beautiful sculptures.
