I’m like everyone else, I like a good deal.  As a travel agent I want to help my clients get the best deal, too!  One of the easiest ways to get a good deal on a cruise is right there on board the ship.  Every cruise line has an office where you can go to place a deposit on your next cruise.  Here is why it is such a good idea and one of the best travel hacks around.

 

• Most cruise lines will offer an on board credit for booking another cruise from the ship during your current cruise.  That on board credit is often available for the cruise you are currently on as well as the cruise you are booking in advance.  Win, Win!  Who doesn’t want extra money to spend?
• Once you get off your current cruise, talk to your travel agent and have the booking transferred to them.  Why?  Because a travel agent has the tools to keep track of the pricing on that cruise.  If the cruise price goes down, they have the ability to request a fare change for your future cruise.  Again a Win, Win!
• What if you change your mind and want a different cruise than the one you booked on board?  Easy, most deposits are transferable when the deposit was made on board.  Your travel agent can take care of all the details for you.  Cruise lines are happy to accommodate when they know you will be returning.  They appreciate loyalty just like everyone else.  Do I need to say it?  Win, Win!
