Nuremberg was a pleasant surprise.  I was not really looking forward to all the WWII sights; however, I decided on a city tour rather than the WWII tour and what a great decision that was.  Don't get me wrong, WWII is very important and I hope we have learned some very important lessons from that conflict; however, it can be overwhelming.  I loved Nuremberg!  The parts that survived the war and the bombings are so breathtakingly beautiful.  I am so happy that they survived.  Someday, I will go back and explore all of the WWII sights.  After this past political season, I need a break from all the hate.  Below are a few of our favorite pictures from Nuremberg.

This is one of the few streets that survived the bombings of Nuremberg during WWII.  I love this street. The charm of the buildings is undeniable.  I think I took about 20 photos of this street alone.  Just loved walking down the street and discovering all the little details.

One of the towers of Nuremberg Castle.  This castle was a lot of fun to explore.  There are a lot of hidden little spaces that make the grounds and the castle quite special.  Walking tour of the grounds and old town Nuremberg is well worth the time.

This is one of the many bridges around the castle area.  To be quite honest, I am not sure if this is a canal or a mote.  I have taken to calling it a camote!

I love this walkway.  It is located on the Nuremberg Castle grounds and was so peaceful and beautiful.

I love the many opportunities there are to look through to sweet hidden spaces.  It's a little bit like life, you can't always see everything that is coming our way.
